Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Parents,

We welcome you and your family to Cavendish Close Infant and Nursery School and look forward to a long happy relationship between your family and the school.

We are all very proud of our school for a number of reasons. We have now had 3 successful Ofsted inspections (February 1997, June 2001 and September 2006).

As a result of our achievements we were mentioned in the Chief Inspectors Annual report in 2002, we were a Beacon School from 2001 until the initiative ended in 2003 and we have been awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark Twice.
Our results, published each year compare exceptionally well with other schools, we are above the National Average in our scores for Reading, Writing, Mathematics and all the core curriculum subjects.
We have tried to provide as much information as possible in our booklet but a visit to our school would give you a much better picture of what we have to offer you as a family.
